PORSCHE 924S, 2.5 LITRE, 5 SPEED MANUAL. 1986 'D' Reg.
The 924S, unlike its predecessor, was fitted with the 944's 150bhp 2.5 litre straight four Porsche power plant, upgrading suspension and brakes while retaining the classic interior and legendary narrow body shape. The 924S was launched in 1986, with the model receiving much acclaim from the motoring press and public alike. Production, however, was limited as Porsche started to focus on their 911 models, resulting in the last 924S being produced only two and a half years later in the September of 1998. Less than 16,700 cars were produced in total, with the example pictured here rolling off the production line in 1986. This is deemed to be the rarest example due to the production line only producing 3,536 examples in this year.
Finished in sought after Peppermint metallic and black leather sports upholstery. Having covered 152,000 miles, this 924S has been meticulously serviced throughout its life and comes complete with stamped service schedule and a huge file of receipts and servicing bills. Over the last eight years it has been maintained by Northway Porsche specialist, and prior to that AFN Reading, again official Porsche specialists.
Five speed manual transmission. Totally unmarked Telephone Dial alloy wheels. Removable, electric tilt, colour co-coordinating roof panel. Headlamp wash. Tinted glass. Rear wash, wipe. Colour coordinating mirror caps. Front fog lights. Black leather sports seats. Electric windows. Reverse action rev counter. Panasonic sound system. Polished Porsche threshold trims. Remote Clifford alarm system.
Probably one of the best maintained 924S models available on the market today. Superb condition for the age and mileage. Own a piece of Porsche automotive history for only.
