1958 FORD THUNDERBIRD - STUNNING
The Ford Thunderbird was debuted in 1955 as Ford’s entry into the two-seater sports car market. Only available as a convertible with a removable hard top, it was always associated with clean styling, creature comforts and V8 refinement. The totally restored 1958 example you see here, is one of the last generation one’s ever to be produced. After this time, the two seater format was scrapped for two rows of seats. Hence, the gen one’s are the rarest and most desirable T-Bird you will find.
Finished in pristine Greadier red and stunning chrome trim. White walled tyres. All badges present and correct. Rear mounted spare wheel and cover. Exhausts built into rear bumper.
Removable 'porthole' hard top finished in Colonial White and matching soft top.
Show quality interior trimmed in white/black vinyl with Thunderbird insignia embossed into the side panels. Black carpets and over mats. Spun aluminium dash with original instrumentation. Floor mounted automatic shift. Power steering and brakes. Electric bench seat, forward, aft, up and down. Electric windows.
Powered by a 312 cubic inch V8 (5.1 litres), as originally fitted to these early Bird’s. Pristine engine bay with polished finned Thunderbird rocker covers. Chromium plated heater, fan shroud, power steering reservoir, fuel lines and air filter. Much more detailing, but we have run out of room here!
If you want a T-Bird then you will struggle to find better. This example is finished in a stunning colour and trim combination, and is a true delight to drive. Comes complete with numerous receipts, old MOT’s, owners manual and spares catalogue.
