Chrysler owner Plymouth Automobiles were built to be affordable, well-equipped and reliable. Plymouth's mission was to provide a means of transport to the lower and working class, which throughout the years was achieved by using rebranded Chrysler or Dodge models.
In the 1980s Plymouth adopted Chrysler's E Platform and rebranded it as the Plymouth Caravelle. Made available initially in one trim level with a number of standard features, the Caravelle is a well-equipped, low-cost solution option, available across the USA and Canada.
Thought to be the only example in Europe currently this 1985 registered Plymouth was registered new in Canada where it was used and loved by the owner. The car was so adored that when the owner left Canada, instead of selling it, they placed it into storage before later shipping it to the UK in 1993. Used sparingly, the car has completed only 36, 128km, equivalent to around 22, 400 miles, A new speedo was fitted 242 miles ago and the old speedo is available for inspection to verify the genuine mileage, it has also benefited from recommissioning around 4 years ago which has resulted in an exceptional car.
Equipped with a Mitsubishi 2. 6L G54B inline-4, the car boats reliable mechanics with adequate performance, combined with 80s good looks and comfortable interiors this Caravelle is an eye-drawing Canadian that could easily be used as a unique daily driver or kept pristine and showed off at meets and classic car shows.
